CORAOPOLIS, Pa. (AP) - Professional wrestler and Olympic gold medalist Kurt Angle has been ordered to stand trial on a drunken driving charge.
Moon Township police say they charged 39-year-old Angle on Sept. 28 after a motorist told them Angle cut her off while pulling out of a bar parking lot that afternoon.
A police officer testified Tuesday he went to Angle's Moon Township home, where the wrestler admitted to driving the vehicle and drinking a few beers at the bar that day. Police say Angle failed field sobriety tests and refused a blood test.
Angle's attorney says police couldn't place Angle in the vehicle at a specific time.
Angle won a gold medal in the 1996 Summer Olympics.

警官は火曜日に、アングルがムーン・タウンシップの自宅へ行くところだったと証言しました。彼は車を運転し、その日バーでビールを数杯飲んだことを認めました。警察は、アングルがアルコール検査に引っ掛かり、血液検査を拒否したと言います。
アングルの弁護士は、警察が特定の時刻に車の中のアングルを見分けることが出来なかったと言います。
アングルは、1996年の夏季オリンピックで金メダルを獲得しました。
アングルといえば2月16日のIGF、2月17日の新日本の2連戦が控えているわけですが、これをもって来日が難しくなったということはないでしょう、多分。9月に起こした事件なのにIGFの有明や新日のドームで試合してるわけだし、ケビン・ランデルマンも無免許＆飲酒運転で逮捕されて間もないのに来日したことあるし。
