Bellator MMAが9月14日にイングランド・ロンドンのOVOアリーナ・ウェンブリーで『Bellator Champions Series London』を開催することと、メインイベントがジョニー・エブレン vs. ファビアン・エドワーズのミドル級タイトルマッチになることを発表。
エブレンは2月の『PFL vs. Bellator: Champs』でインパ・カサンガネイに判定勝ちして以来の試合でプロデビュー以来15連勝中。
エドワーズは3月の『Bellator Champions Series 1: Anderson vs. Moore』でアーロン・ジェフェリーに判定勝ちして以来の試合。
両者は昨年9月の『Bellator 299: Eblen vs. Edwards』で対戦しており、この時はエブレンが3R KO勝ちしミドル級王座2度目の防衛に成功しています。今回は1年ぶりの再戦となります。
